Clinical Psychologist Psychotherapist
Pınar Kaya Kurtman, PhD

I completed my bachelor’s degree in psychology department of Middle East Technical University (METU) in 2010. I had my Ph.D. degree in Clinical Psychology at the same university in 2017. The most prominent part of my Ph.D. was the practice part of the education. Therefore, I gained many experience on psychotherapy and clinical supervision during Ph.D years.
In addition to official education, I participated many vocational trainings including Group Psychotherapy Training and Sexuality and Sexual Dysfunctions Training. In addition, I have taken part in many psychology related symposiums and congresses such as 5th European Congress of Psychology in Amsterdam, and Group Analytic Society International Symposium in 2020.
Between 2014 and 2019 years, I had worked in private practice as a psychotherapist and I delivered around 1000 hours psychotherapy in that period. In the meantime, I worked as a clinical psychologist in Boğaziçi University Student Help Unit (BÜSÖD) between years of 2015-2017 and continued to work there voluntarily until the end of 2018.
Beside the psychotherapy practices, I have lectured at different psychology departments in private universities (Arel University, Maltepe University, and Acıbadem University) in İstanbul since 2015. In last two years, I have supervised clinical psychology master students and psychologists who are currently practising psychotherapy.
I moved to Prague at the beginning of 2019. I have delivered online individual adult psychotherapy sessions and clinical supervision since then. Now I continue my individual and group practices in my office in Prague.
